When it comes to choosing a whale-watching tour on Kauai, there are many options to choose from.
A popular company that we recommend is Holo Holo Charters. Their experienced crew and comfortable boats provide an incredible whale-watching experience. They follow strict guidelines to ensure that their tours do not interfere with the natural behavior of whales and other marine life. Blue Dolphin Charters
Blue Dolphin Charters runs not only sails up to the Napali Coast but also whale-watching sails around the south shore from December through February. The south shore sails (which not all tour companies offer) are a great alternative during winter months since Napali coast sailing conditions can be rocky, rainy, and unpredictable in winter. Captain Elia, Kai, and Naya are caring and provide a lovely and informative tour, complete with whale sightings and a close-up view of Spouting Horn from a different vantage point than the overlook. The sunset sail option provides the best of both worlds. If you`re even remotely prone to seasickness, we HIGHLY recommend that you listen to the crew`s advice, take your Dramamine in advance, and wear sea bands. Conditions on the open ocean are rarely calm and serene despite what they might appear to be from shore, and conditions can change fairly unexpectedly.
